Robert Zemeckis – 1984.

Romancing The Stone is a rollicking good adventure movie with great turns from Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito. How often do you get three star-making performances in one movie?

Originally seen as an Indiana Jones knock-off, Romancing The Stone is very much its own thing and it really delivers in the entertainment front. 

Robert Zemeckis‘ film features some wonderful set pieces and a fun script and these combine to make Romancing The Stone one of the most memorable adventure films of the 1980s.
