Notebook Reviews: UNLAWFUL ENTRY

Jonathan Kaplan – 1992
Unlawful Entry is a slick little thriller from 1992, which has Kurt Russell doing what he does best – playing the everyman battling the odds alongside his wife (Madeleine Stowe) . Here he’s pitted against Ray Liotta’s over zealous and psychotic LAPD officer.
Director Jonathan Kaplan sustains the tension throughout this highly entertaining thriller that has shades of Pacific Heights (1990) and the 1951 film The Prowler (director Kaplan is the nephew of that film’s star Van Heflin).
