Mark Pellington – 2002

Mark Pellington‘s The Mothman Prophecies is an excellent and unexpected mystery with a great turn by Richard Gere (Laura Linney is also excellent). Pellington’s film has great visuals and it also has a terrific score and impressive sound design.

The Mothman Prophecies plays like a great big screen episode of The X-Files – it’s hugely atmospheric and very original. This comes highly recommended for fans of thrillers and horror. Excellent.
