Notebook Reviews: NETWORK

4 out of 5 stars

Sidney Lumet – 1976

Sidney Lumet was one of the most important filmmakers of the 1970s and Network is one of his most important films.

The television satire features some great scenes and a terrific cast: Peter Finch, Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Robert Duvall and Ned Beatty. Rich, textured and as powerful today as it was in 1976, Network is ’70s cinema at its finest.

Now say it with me: “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore
