Don Chaffey – 1963

Jason And The Argonauts is one of the great Ray Harryhausen‘s finest films. This Don Chaffey directed adventure is a timeless classic with superb special effects and wonderful action set pieces. The film’s hight point is the sword fighting skeletons sequence – it’s one which has been copied over the years, but never bettered. 

The Bernard Herrmann score is exceptional and the location work is stunning. Jason And The Argonauts is a film for all ages. This Greek myth is an all-time classic that never stops being enjoyable. Essential viewing.
