Notebook Reviews: FATHER OF THE BRIDE

3 out of 5 stars

Charles Shyer – 1991

Father Of The Bride starts off well, with Steve Martin excelling in the facial expressions department during the first half hour. The film loses a bit of momentum after that, but it’s given a huge shot in the arm when Martin Short turns up as the camp party planner. It’s a fun movie though, which is carried along by Martin’s comic timing. Father Of The Bride is a good afternoon’s viewing.
