Notebook Reviews: THE TERMINATOR

James Cameron – 1984

The Terminator is tight, taut and tense. James Cameron‘s low budget actioner is near perfect.

The 1984 scf-fi thriller marked the first collaboration between the director and Arnold Schwarzenegger and the duo have never been better. The tension is great and all of the set pieces are wonderful – especially the police station shootout. Praise must also go to Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn – they both add humanity to Cameron’s film. 

One of the all-time great action movies.
