Mission On Hold: Filming Delayed On MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 8
Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 will no longer shoot back-to-back. The delay in M:I 7’s production due to COVID-19 and the delay in the release of Top Gun: Maverick means that Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have decided to delay production on M:I 8 in order regroup and allow Cruise to promote the Top Gun sequel (both will be released by Paramount Pictures).
Cruise and McQuarrie are currently adding finishing touches to Mission: Impossible 7, which is set to open on 19 November 2021. Mission: Impossible 8, is still currently dated for 4 November 2022 – but expect that to change.
