Déjà Vu All Over Again: Tom Cruise’s EDGE OF TOMORROW Gets A Sequel

Edge Of Tomorrow (aka All You Need Is Kill aka Live Die Repeat) was a crackingly good sci-fi action flick starring the mighty Tom Cruise as a soldier caught reliving the same moments over and over again during an alien invasion. Emily Blunt co-starred as a bad-ass warrior who helps Cruise’s character find his Groundhog Day battle mojo.

Doug Liman’s film got great reviews (check Movies In Focus’) and made a respectable $370 million at the global box office, but the film’s ending didn’t lend itself to a sequel. However, Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse have been given the task of crafting a follow-up, with producer (and writer of the original) Christopher McQuarrie overseeing development. The plan is for Cruise, Liman and Blunt to return.

We can only hope that the call this one Live Die Repeat.
