Kevin Costner Rides Again! Release Date & Teaser For HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SAGA
It’s official – Kevin Costner‘s Horizon: An American Saga is now the most anticipated movie event of 2024.
Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1 gets a theatrical release on June 28, 2024, and then two months later, Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2 hits the screen on August 16, 2024.
The two films are expected to be the first instalments of an epic 4-part saga exploring the American West. The final two parts have been delayed because of the Writers’ and Actors’ strikes.
Horizon has been a long-gestating passion project for Costner – and he alluded to it when I met him on the set of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit in 2012. He’s a filmmaker who puts his money where his mouth is – throwing down at least $20 million of his own money to get the films made. Costner has form in this arena – he invested his own cash in Dances With Wolves – and look how that turned out (multiple awards and over $400 million in box office).
Epic in scope, Horizon: An American Saga also has an epic supporting cats: Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Michael Rooker, Danny Huston, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jeff Fahey, Will Patton, Tatanka Means, Owen Crow Shoe, Ella Hunt, Jamie Campbell Bower.
