Trailer For Assassin Thriller AVA Starring Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell, John Malkovich & Common
For what looks like a pretty generic assassin on-the-run thriller, Ava has a pretty impressive cast – Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell, John Malkovich, Common and Geena Davis (who knows a thing or two about this sort of movie having starred in The Long Kiss Goodnight).
Tate Taylor’s thriller looks like solid enough 1990s throwback and I get the feeling it won’t be a total waste of time. The cast alone garners my eyeballs. This trailer reminds of Stephen Soderbergh’s Haywire and Michael Apted’s Unlocked, two other recent all-star action thrillers with female leads – the former with Gina Carano and the latter with Noomi Rapace (and John Malkovich again)
The synopsis:
Ava is a deadly assassin who works for a black ops organization, traveling the globe specializing in high profile hits. When a job goes dangerously wrong she is forced to fight for her own survival.
