The Trailer For Nicolas Cage’s PRISONERS OF THE GHOSTLAND Will Leave You Speechless
I don’t know what sort of crazy Prisoners of The Ghostland is packing – but you can sign me up straight away. This trailer for the Sion Sono directed fantasy film is a visual treat – and star Nicolas Cage looks to be on peak form. It looks like another brave and old choice for the Oscar-winning actor who has had an incredible run lately.
There’s so much going on in this trailer and I don’t really know what to say other than ‘wow’. It would seem that Prisoners of The Ghostland is an arthouse action movie with serious cojones.
Sofia Boutella, Nick Cassavetes, Bill Moseley, Tak Sakaguchi and Yuzuka Nakaya star in the film which is set to open in select US cinemas and on Demand and Digital on 17 September 2021.
The synopsis:
In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber is sprung from jail by a wealthy warlord, The Governor, whose adopted granddaughter has run away. Strapped into a leather suit that will self-destruct within five days if he doesn’t find the missing girl, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman — and his own path to redemption.
