I’m pretty sure Terry Gilliam never thought he’d see the day when he completed The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
The film has been decades in development with a million and one things going wrong with bringing it to the screen over the years – see Lost in La Mancha for the best rundown. The good news is that it has a trailer, but that doesn’t mean it’ll see the light of day. There’s currently a legal battle raging about the rights to the film. Maybe the project is cursed.
Jonathan Pryce and Adam Driver topline the film which looks very Gilliam-esqe – but you wouldn’t expect anything else from him at this stage in his career.
The Man Who Killed Don Quixote might, possibly premiere at Cannes – and it could be released later in 2018. Maybe.
