Stylish Posters Inform Us That GAME OF THRONES Is Coming To IMAX

It says something about the power and magnitude of Game of Thrones when they start showing episodes in IMAX. The last two episodes of season four will screen in over 200 IMAX screens in the US and Canada from 29 January – 5 February.

Game of Thrones has fantastic production design and impressive visuals, so it should be perfect for the IMAX format. However, it’s also being ‘digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX format’ (it’s going to look powerful). This limited theatrical engagement is to get ready for the launch of the show’s fifth season on HBO in April (it’ll be on Sky Atlantic in the UK).

Am I alone in thinking that there would be an audience for this if they were to show Game Of Thrones on the big screen every week?
