Quietly Impressive Trailer For Angelina Jolie’s BY THE SEA With Brad Pitt

By The Sea certainly isn’t for the Mr And Mrs Smith Crowd. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie star as a husband and wife going through marital problems in a French coastal village during the 1970s. Jolie is becoming something of an auteur, having written and directed this follow-up to the quietly impressive WWII drama Unbroken. This looks intriguing and it might have a solid shot at gaining some gold in the coming awards season.

There’s a nice use of the old Universal Pictures at the opening of the trailer too.

By The Sea opens in November.
