Notebook Reviews: THE GAME

David Fincher – 1997

Michael Douglas delivers a fine performance in this dark and twisty thriller from director David Fincher. Sean Penn gives good support, but his role is slight and he’s somewhat under-used. 

As expected, Fincher’s direction for The Game is top notch and there’s a good build-up of tension. It dips a little in the middle act but the ending ties things up nicely. Game on.
