Notebook Reviews: SPY GAME

Tony Scott – 2001

Spy Game is a hugely enjoyable old-school espionage thriller from the great Tony Scott. This is a visually impressive and incredibly tense piece, featuring the wonderful pairing of Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. Redford is the standout here, but Pitt is also very good as the elder statesman’s protege. 

This is a great Saturday night movie – but don’t go in expecting action  – Spy Game is an exercise in tension. Highly reccomended.
