Notebook Reviews: HEAVEN’S BURNING
Craig Lahiff – 1997
Heaven’s Burning is a violent and darkly comic Australian road movie starring Russell Crowe.
Craig Lahiff’s film has a Bonnie & Clyde meets Mad Max vibe and it is crammed full of bizarre characters and strange situations. You never know where the plot is going and it seems to take a strange turn every four minutes or so (the most notable being a hotel torture sequence). Heaven’s Burning is good off-beat fare.
