Notebook Reviews: CLUB PARADISE
Harold Ramis – 1986
It’s hard to believe that the great Harold Ramis, the man behind such comedy classics such as Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day and Multiplicity was responsible for Club Paradise. It’s not funny, it’s badly directed and the script is appalling. What a piece of trash. How it managed to score such names as Robin Williams, Twiggy, Peter O’Toole, Jimmy Cliff and Rick Moranis is anyone’s guess.
Club Paradise has one or two slightly funny moments, but that’s it. One of the worst so-called comedy films I’ve ever seen. Stay away.
