Mark Pellington’s Music Film For Nada Surf’s JUST WAIT

Mark Pellington is one of today’s great visual stylists. Pellington is a director who merges strong imagery with interesting storytelling across a variety of different mediums. Over the years he has directed music videos with acts like Bruce Springsteen, Nine Inch Nails and U2, while also helming adverts, short films and features such as Arlington Road, The Mothman Prophecies,  I Melt With You and Nostalgia. 

Pellington’s music film for Nada Surf’s Just Wait is described as ‘a ruminative, hypnotic journey through a nocturnal universe of light, love and time’. The ten minute film is a powerful merge of music, imagery and editing. It’s a fitting piece of visual and aural art for everything which is going on in the world at the minute. Nada Surf’s music is poignant and hopeful – the perfect match for images onscreen.
