Controversial Music Producer Phil Spector Dies
Phil Spector, the music producer behind the iconic ‘Wall Of Sound’ has died at the age of 81. Spector was a complex figure – a genius and a madman who infamously brought guns into the recoding studio.
The length and breadth of Spector’s career is mind-boggling and his array of hits endless. Phil Spector‘s legacy was destroyed in 2003 after he was arrested when actress Lana Clarkson died from a gunshot would at his home. After a 2007 mistrial, Spector was retried in 2009 and convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 19 years in prison.
