Josh Brolin Is Marvel’s Thanos – But It’s Hard To Get Excited

It seems like every A-list (and even B-list) actor needs to be in a superhero franchise these days (just check out the cast of American Hustle). It’s money in the bank, it’s a way of keeping your profile high. The latest big name to join the superhero melee is Josh Brolin. The former Goonie has apparently signed-on to play Thanos in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy and Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

This news comes days after Edgar Wright dropped out of directing Marvel’s Ant-Man because of creative differences.

Thanos will be easy work for Brolin as I presume it will be a few days in the voice-over studio. It has to be better than the actor’s last stab at a comic book movie – Warner Bros’ terrible Jonah Hex.

It’s hard to get excited by all this. I’m feeling the effects of this comic book movie onslaught. I’m reeling, on the ropes. I have hope yet for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice – but that’s it. I can’t take it anymore.
