Hard Hitting New Trailer For THE BATMAN
This second trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman delivers in a big, big way. Stunning visuals, bone crunching action and tonnes of atmosphere – it looks like Batman, but I get the feeling that things are going to be a little different this time around.
It looks dark – both visually and tonally and it shows that Robert Pattinson‘s Batman is something of a brawler. Yes, I’m getting Batman Begins vibes – but I think that Reeves might make a Batman film where most of the action takes place on the mean streets of Gotham. That’s something that we’ve never really seen before.
This trailer gives the first look at Andy Serkis’ Alfred and we see Zoë Kravitz‘s Selina Kyle and Collin Farrell‘s Penguin in action – but the plot and Paul Dano’s Riddler are very much under-wraps.
The Batman doesn’t look the the usual CGI fuelled superhero movies currently clogging-up the multiplex – and for that it should be applauded.
The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffery Wright, Peter Sarsgaard, John Turturro, Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell will hit screens on 4 March 2022.
