First Images From David Fincher’s MANK
Netflix has dropped the first images from David Fincher‘s Mank. The film sees Gary Oldman play Hollywood screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz as he suffers many trials and tribulations whilst working on the screenplay for Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane.
Amanda Seyfried plays Marion Davies, Lily Collins stars as Rita Alexander and Charles Dance will portray William Randolph Hearst.
A passion project for Fincher, the screenplay for Mank was written by his father Jack Fincher – it’s the director’s first feature since Gone Girl in 2016.
These images from the black and white film look glorious and it would seem that Fincher and company have managed to recreate the textures of 1930s movies.
There’s no word on when Netflix will drop Mank, but expect it to be soon.
