Trailer For ’50s B-Movie Homage ANOTHER PLAN FROM OUTER SPACE
Movies In Focus has a special love of old horror and sci-fi movies. The beauty of old movies is that time is a great equaliser, and a low budget films probably don’t look quite as bad as they did when they were first released.
Another Plan From Outer Space is a modern take on the kitschy aesthetic of low budget movies from the 1950s. The title is obviously a riff on Ed Wood‘s much mocked (but actually rather good) Plan 9 From Outer Space. The performances and black and white photography look purposefully arch in an attempt to recreate the specific tone of movies from filmmakers such as Wood.
Like Wood, director/producer/writer Lance Polland is working with a tight budget, but hat shouldn’t matter if he’s able to recreate the fun of those old B-movies. Movies In Focus will hopefully have a review of the film online soon.
Another Plan From Outer Space will be available globally via Prime Video and Vimeo on Demand on the 10 April.
