Ray Harryhausen was a true cinematic visionary and his films still offer a tremendous about of delight to viewers of all ages. One of his most iconic films is the Gordon Hessler directed The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad (although, aren’t they all iconic?). The 1973 film features some brilliant effects and design work and it would be a blast to see it on the big screen. You’ll get that chance if you drop along to the Regent Street Cinema in London on 25 February. The film is getting a special screening followed by a Q&A with star Caroline Munro and Ray Harryhausen’s daughter, Vanessa.

On February 25th, London’s renowned Regent Street Cinema will play host to a very special screening of THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD (1973) followed by a Q&A with star and iconic Bond girl Caroline Munro, legendary filmmaker Ray Harryhausen’s daughter Vanessa and hosted by BAFTA award winning filmmaker John Walsh.
Join Sinbad and his crew as they intercept a flying homunculus carrying a golden tablet.
But this is one third of a puzzle that leads to untold riches, and the evil magician Koura is hell-bent on being the first to solve it…
John Walsh is double BAFTA nominated filmmaker whose work focuses on social justice giving a voice to otherwise unheard contributors. After graduating from the London Film School, John founded his own film production company, Walsh Bros Ltd, which became one of the UK’s top 100 production companies.
