Arnold Schwarzenegger Joins Michael Fassbender & David Hasselhoff In KUNG FURY
Somehow David Sandberg’s cult 2015 action-comedy short film Kung Fury passed me by (which I’ll be rectifying by watching it). The big screen sequel however has slapped my face and caught my attention. First-up Michael Fassbender signed-on to join the original short’s David Hasselhoff – and now the Austrian Oak himself, Arnold Schwareneger has joined the cast (as the US President!).
Sandberg will star in Kung Fury’s lead role, playing the “greatest damn cop of all time”.
Here’s the synopsis from THR:
The action is set in 1985 Miami, which is kept safe under the watchful eye of Kung Fury and his Thundercops, the ultimate police force assembled from across history to defeat the villainous Kung Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler. After the tragic death of a Thundercop sees the group disband, a mysterious villain emerges from the shadows to aid in the Fuhrer’s quest to attain the ultimate weapon. Kung Fury must travel through space and time to save his friends, defend the prestigious Miami Kung Fu Academy and defeat evil once and for all.
There’s just too much crazy in all of this for me to digest. I’ll write something else when I understand what it all means.
