Ride The Trail With Michael Fassbender’s Western SLOW WEST

The summer can be an exhausting time at the cinema. The wham, bam of special effects blockbusters filling the multiplex can be deafening when you just want to take things slow. That’s why director John Mclean’s Slow West seems so tantalising.

It follows the story of 16-year-old Jay Cavendish (Kodi Smit-McPhee) as he journeys across the American frontier at the end of the 19th century, in search of the woman he loves. Along the way he is joined by Silas (Michael Fassbender), a mysterious traveller with his own agenda, and is hotly pursued by an outlaw named Payne (Ben Mendelsohn).

The trailer for Mclean’s western scorches on every level (check it out below) and the new poster has an edgy quality that makes it stand-out from the poorly photoshopped efforts that adorn the walls of most film temples during the summer months.

Ride with Slow West on 26 June 2015.
