Pointless POINT BREAK Remake

I know that a lot of people love Kathryn Bigelow’s Point Break. I just don’t dig-it. It’s an okay-ish 90s actioner, but I could never get along with the casting of Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, or maybe it was the surfing. I don’t see the point (break) of a remake – which was effectively remade as The Fast & The Furious, swapping surfing for cars. It looks like I’m the only one.

Alcon Entertainment has hired former cinematographer Ericson Core (2006’s Invincible) to direct the film, which sees a young FBI agent infiltrate a gang of ‘extreme sports’ loving bank robbers. The plan is for Point Break to be shot at the end of the year, with Warner Bros, releasing. Expect some generic casting.
