The Shape of Water leads the pack at the 90th Academy Awards, with a total 13 nominations. Dunkirk  managed eight nods, while Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri trailed the Christopher Nolan pic with seven.

It’s an eclectic mix for sure this year, with stand-out curios being horror film Get Out‘s nominations for Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Actor and comic book adaptation Logan getting a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

A few Academy Award records were also broken this year – Meryl Streep scored her 21st nomination for Best Actress (!), Christopher Plummer becomes the oldest actor to gain a nomination at the age of 88 years old and Rachel Morrison is the first woman ever to be nominated for Best Cinematography for Mudbound.
