Noteboook Reviews: THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES

Clint Eastwood – 1976

4 out of 5 stars

The Outlaw Josey Wales is a truly enjoyable western with a very good performance central from Clint Eastwood. The direction may lack visual verve, but it’s still well constructed with plenty of humour sprinkled throughout.

It’s also filled with strong characterisation – the most notable being Chief Dan George’s excellent turn as Lone Waite.

Simply put, The Outlaw Joey Wales is one of Eastwood’s finest movies as star – and director. Worth a watch.
