Sydney Pollack – 1993

The Firm is and enjoyable and slick John Grisham adaptation from master craftsman Sydney Pollack. This legal thriller has good roles for Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman and while it’s not as good as the book, it’s still great entertainment.

The Firm‘s supporting cast is first-rate – Jeanne Tripplehorn, Ed Harris, Holly Hunter, Hal Holbrook and David Strathairn – and they all get their moment to shine. Pollack’s film also features a fantastic score from Dave Grusin.
