Notebook Reviews: KING ARTHUR

1.5 out of 5 stars

Antoine Fuqua – 2004

King Arthur is a hugely disappointing production from the usually very reliable Jerry Bruckheimer. This Antoine Fuqua directed film is a terrible cinematic interpretation of the Arthurian legend.

The visuals are bland, the action sequences are boring and Clive Owen is woefully miscast in the title role. Poor Stellan Skarsgård must have been thinking about the money.

There are a few good flourishes between the Knights Of The Roundtable, but King Arthur is a real slog. Go watch Excalibur again instead.
