Clint Eastwood – 2000

Clint Eastwood‘s Space Cowboys plays like Armageddon for old folks – and I don’t mean that in a derogatory way.

This is one of Eastwood’s finest crowd-pleasers. The cast is great with Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland and James Garner all excelling as ageing test pilots heading-off into space. 

The special effects are good and the film has some great comedic and heartfelt moments. It’s far-fetched for sure, but Space Cowboys is great entertainment for two hours if you just go with it.
