Tony Goldwyn – 2001

Someone Like You (released in the UK as Animal Attraction) is a somewhat disappointING romantic comedy. It lacks in the witty dialogue department – a must for this type of movie.

The great cast works hard (Ashley Judd, Greg Kinnear, Hugh Jackman, Marisa Tomei and Ellen Barkin) but it’s a bit too much like Bridget Jones for its own good. Jackman’s character should really have been the male lead, but it is what it is. It might be flawed but it has some good moments and solid direction. Fluff.
