Notebook Reviews: SNATCH

Guy Ritchie – 2000.

Guy Ritchie’s Snatch is an enjoyable enough gangster flick. There’s a good cast who deliver some interesting performances – most notably the mighty Dennis Farina, Brad Pitt, Benicio del Toro and Vinnie Jones. 

What lets Snatch down is the reliance on visual flourishes and far too much wise-guy humour. It’s entertaining though and the soundtrack’s funky – but it’s not as good as Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels.
