Notebook Reviews: ONE FINE DAY

4 out of 5 stars

Michael Hoffman – 1996.

One Fine Day is an excellent romantic comedy starring George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer. There’s a real old-school charm to Michael Hoffman’s movie and aside from the updated technology, it feels like it could have been made in the 1940s. Both Clooney and Pfeiffer are excellent, sharing great chemistry and trading well-written one-liners.

Aside from the sparkling script, One Fine Day also features a great soundtrack and some wonderful cinematography – which makes great use of its Manhattan locations.

I’ll admit that it won’t be for everyone, but One Fine Day is a first-rate Hollywood Rom-Com.
