Notebook Reviews: DANTE’S PEAK

Roger Donaldson – 1997

There’s plenty of fun to be had with Roger Donaldson‘s Dante’s Peak. This volcano disaster movie has excellent special effects and the film has a brilliant sense of tone and setting.

Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton are both excellent in the lead roles. The former shows that there more to his career than James Bond and the latter lets people know that she’s not just Sarah Connor in the Terminator movies. 

Dante’s Peak delivers the goods – and it’s much better than Volcano and Twister.
