Notebook Reviews: LETHAL WEAPON 3

Richard Donner – 1992.

Lethal Weapon 3 is an exceptionally well made action movie, with some incredibly well constructed action set pieces. Energetically directed by the great Richard Donner and well acted by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, this second Lethal Weapon sequel really delivers the goods. Rene Russo makes for a welcome addition to the cast and Joe Pesci once again steals scenes as Leo Getz. 

The action is great, but the heart of these movies has always been the relationship between Gibson and Glover’s Riggs and Murtaugh  – at it’s once again incredibly well drawn. Lethal Weapon 3 is the way all sequels should be.
