Dean Parisot – 1999

Galaxy Quest is damn good fun! Director Dean Parisot delivers a fantastic parody of Star Trek and the film has 100% conviction in its plot and complete dedication from its brilliant cast (Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman and Tony Shalhoub). 

The effects are great and the script is witty – if only there had been a little more time spent setting up the mundane lives of the show’s stars. It’s a small niggle, so I really can’t complain.
