Neil Marshall’s DOG SOLDIERS Gets A New 4K Restoration – And A Re-Release!

Neil Marshall’s Dog Soldiers is an exceptionally refreshing piece of horror cinema. The set-up to Marshall’s 2002 fright pic is classic: Zulu meets Aliens with werewolves – and it’s every bit as good as you would expect. Funny and scary, this was a fantastic calling card for the British filmmaker who continues to impress on the big (The Descent) and small screen (Game Of Thrones). It also stars the great Sean Pertwee and Kevin McKidd.

Now Vertigo Releasing has announced that Dog Soldier‘s is getting a re-release – and a new 4K restoration. The film has also scored great looking new promotional artwork by illustrator Chris Malbon. Dog Soldiers will be available on digital platforms on 12 October 2020 (just in time for Halloween).

The new trailer:

The synopsis:

During a routine training mission in the Scottish Highlands, a small squad of British soldiers find a wounded Special Forces captain and the bloody remains of his team. When the savage attackers return, the men are rescued a zoologist, who identifies what hunts them as werewolves. Without transport or communications, the group is forced to retreat to a farmhouse to wait for the full moon to disappear at dawn.
