More BATMAN For Christian Bale? That’s The $50 Million Question

The word on the street is that Warner Bros is willing to stump-up $40-$50 million in an attempt to get Christian Bale to return to the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel follow-up. The DC Comics team-up pic will see Superman face-off against Batman. I’d say it’s a 50/50 shot as to whether Bale will take it.

Sure, he’s anchored a billion dollar franchise and won an Academy Award – but is his career ‘safe’? After all, he’s never really anchored a hit movie on his own. He’ll do all right without the cowl, but a few more Batman movies would keep his career sweet for another decade or so.

The Brothers Warner aren’t sitting around waiting for his decision, they already have a few choices lined-up to replace Bale if he says no.
