Michael Douglas And Christoph Waltz Star As Regan And Gorbachev In REYKJAVIK

Michael Douglas and Christoph Waltz are set to play Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev in Mike Newell’s Reykjavik. Yes please.

Kevin Hood scripts the film which will be produced by Headline Pictures, Scott Free Productions, Participant Media and Mark Sennet Productions for a March 2013 start.

Sure, Douglas and Waltz don’t look like Reagan and Gorbachev, but they sure can act, and Newell knows how to direct with aplomb. It’s good to see Michael Douglas getting back into acting following his cancer – in my opinion, he’s one of the few A-list actors who has never made a truly bad film, long may that continue.
