James Bond Uses The Force: Daniel Craig Is A Stormtrooper In STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

Daniel Craig is living every young boy’s fantasy. Not only is he James Bond but he also managed to snag a role as a stormtrooper in J.J. AbramsStar Wars: The Force Awakens.

Simon Pegg let the news slip at the London premiere for his film, Man Up. When asked if he had a role as a stormtrooper in his Star Trek director’s latest sci-fi movie he said:

‘I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper. I shouldn’t have said that.’

However, Pegg is now denying that he let slip some top secret information, telling Collider:

‘Why is everyone leaping on this? It was a rumour last summer, wasn’t it? I read it in the paper. It may be untrue, like most of the other rumours, like Cumberbatch and Cruise being in it.’

This sounds like damage control.

It’s no surprise that the Bond star would have a part on the movie. The Force Awakens was shot at Pinewood Studios at the same time Craig was shooting Spectre. The actor also has a working relationship with J.J Abrams, having starred in Cowboys And Aliens, which was produced through Abrams’ Bad Robot company. Craig’s co-star in the movie was none-other than Star Wars star Harrison Ford.

It remains to be seen if Daniel Craig’s part is a silent cameo, or if he has a speaking role.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in December and Spectre hits screens in October.
