George Clooney & Brad Pitt Reteam For New Jon Watts Thriller
Ocean’s 11 co-stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt are set to reteam for a new thriller from writer/director Jon Watts (Spider-Man). Little is known about the plot other than it follows ‘two lone-wolf fixers who are assigned to the same job’.
There’s currently a bidding war to win the project with Sony, Lionsgate, Annapurna, MGM, Universal, Warner Bros, Apple and Netflix all throwing their hats into the ring.
Sounds like it might just be a fantastic old-school thriller. Clooney and Pitt both have great taste in material, so I imagine that there’s something about this which sparks their interest. The movie stars previously worked together on Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13 as well as the Coen Brothers film, Burn After Reading.
George Clooney will produce through Smokehouse Pictures and Brad Pitt through his Plan B Entertainment. The pair will each score eight-figure salaries for the pic.
