Everybody Starts Somewhere: Ridley Scott’s BOY AND BICYCLE
At the minute everyone is talking about Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, but sometimes it’s worth looking back at an artist’s earlier work (I’m not talking G.I. Jane here). Scott has a keen eye and one of the great visualists in cinema – but there’s more to him than Alien movies.
Boy And Bicycle was Ridley Scott‘s first film, shot while he was at London’s Royal College of Art in 1962. This short stars Ridley’s younger brother, the late, great Tony Scott as the titular ‘Boy’.
