DUNE, THE BATMAN, THE FLASH & More Delayed By Warner Bros
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the theatrical landscape. Warner Bros. has now moved Denis Villeneuve’s Dune from 18 December 2020 to 1 October, 2021.
That means that The Batman has now shifted from that date to 4 March 2022. This also has an impact on other the release of other titles – The Matrix 4 has jumped forward to December 2021 from an April 2022 date.
Meanwhile, the Michael Keaton/Ben Affleck Batman meet-up in The Flash film has been delayed until 4 November, 2022, Shazam! 2 has been moved to 2 June, 2023, and Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam has dropped off the release schedule (not a bad thing, really).
Of course, it remains to be seen if there will still be cinemas around to show these movies.
