The mighty Don Johnson and Olga Kurylenko have just wrapped filming on the action-comedy High Heat. Directed by Zach Golden and written by James Pedersen, the pic sees Johnson and Kurylenko playing a husband and wife who get caught-up in a Mafia insurance scam.
Kurylenko is an actress who knows her way around an action sequence having starred in the James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace and Marvel’s Black Widow, while Johnson has fired-off more than a few rounds in Miami Vice and Nash Bridges.
The story takes place over a single night and follows Ana (Olga Kurylenko), a meticulous chef with a hidden past, and her husband Ray (Don Johnson), a schmoozy serial restaurateur. When the local mafia shows up to burn down her restaurant as part of an insurance scam, Ana defends her turf and proves her knife skills both in and out of the kitchen.
This what producers Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman has to say about the film:
“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Zach again, as we had such a great experience on Prisoner 614. Hight Heat is such a fresh take on a female-driven action/comedy, and Olga and Don are the perfect team to bring this story to life.”
Don Johnson will return as Nash Bridges in a new movie which hits the USA Network in November 2021.
