Action Packed Official Main Trailer For Denis Villeneuve’s Star Laden DUNE

Here’s the official main trailer for director Denis Villeneuve’s epic adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune. This looks impressive and pretty big in scope – but will the pricey spice movie score at the box office?

Movies In Focus hasn’t read Herbert’s book, or seen any other of the screen adaptations (David Lynch’s 1984 film and the 2000 mini-series) but I have to admit that this certainly looks spectacular. They seem to be selling the action with this – and the starry cast. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista all have roles in the film which is set to open on Thursday 21 October 2021. 

The synopsis:

A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides (Chalamet), a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people.
