Movies in Focus is excited about the newly titled, Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny. I can’t wait to see the film once 30th June, 2023 rolls around. This newly released trailer for the Harrison Ford starrer certainly sells the action and adventure – but it looks a little too CGI heavy for my liking.
I’m down the the de-ageing of Ford’s Indiana Jones (apparently for a 1930s set opening) but the 1969 New York City horse chase looks to have spent way too much time on somebody’s hard drive. It looks very fake. I’m told that some of this has to do with the video compression on Youtube and it could be that the effects are unfinished (they still have 6 months to go before it hits screens).
I’m probably one of the few fans of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, (read about that here) so I can live with some CGI – but I hope there’s an organic feel to Indy 5 when it finally opens.
Anyway, here’s the trailer for the James Mangold directed sequel which co-stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, Toby Jones, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, John Rhys-Davies and Antonio Banderas.
